Cambridge is a bustling city with several interesting places to visit and experience. Best known for its university building, the city is also popular for its many museums, pubs, excellent street food and dining opportunities. Travelers can also visit some of the green spaces of the city, its parks and the peaceful riverside where they can spend time relaxing.

As we visited Cambridge for a week, we discovered that the city has something for everyone. There are many galleries, which showcase some of the best pieces of art. You will find some of the best contemporary as well as classic pieces in the galleries. Theatre lovers fall in love with the drama scene as there are several dances, family and drama show held in the many theatres around the city. If you get a scope to visit the city during the Folk festival, you can enjoy all types of folk music by some of the most renowned musicians. There are many other festivals such as Secret Garden Party festival, Beer Festival and the magical Big Weekend festival.

Start with a walking tour of this splendid city and explore all the streets and pathways. A bicycle ride is equally enjoyable, as one follows the many cycle paths. Picnics in the parks or punting on River Cam are what many tourists look forward to when they visit the city.

There are several opportunities in the form of Experience Days, where travelers can enjoy their time. This is the best way to enjoy the hen and stag parties and treat yourself to some of the best goodies.

King’s College Chapel is well known for its lovely choral services.  Try to hear the lovely Choir of King’s College – it is definitely an experience for lifetime.

For all the foodies, the street food scene is quite beckoning. Grab a burger, any variety of veggie food, pizza, ice cream or schnitzel – sumptuous and delicious, you will simply want some more of it. Visit the food park night markets to enjoy some of the most authentic dishes.

Things to do in Miami


Miami was my dream destination since years. Ever since my childhood, I wanted to spend a week in the magnificent city. It was just recently I got the opportunity to soak into the life, culture and food of this beautiful city. It is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Miami is a major port city, and it is situated on the Atlantic coast of South Florida in the southeastern United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, Miami is the seventh-most populous and forth largest urban areas in the U.S. Sun kissed beaches, natural scenic beauty, creative cuisine and blazing nightlife has made Miami, tourists’ paradise. It is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade. In 2008, the Forbes magazine ranked Miami “America’s Cleanest City.” Here are a few travelling tips for those who are the tourist here.

Enjoy The Outdoor Life:

One of the best attractions of Miami is its outdoor life. There are a few cities in the United States who are as blessed as Miami in respect of natural beauty. Aquamarine water, blue sky, different types of bird species, greenery have made it look like almost paradise. Enjoy sunrise and sunset here, and engross yourselves in fun and frolic.

Admire the Art Deco Architecture:

Miami is famous for Art Deco architecture. It is an architectural wonder. The city has the highest concentration of Art Deco buildings especially on South Beach. These beautiful buildings were almost destroyed by the city developers and early seventies. But, in 1976 a few activists founded the Miami Design Preservation league and with their help some of the architectures have been saved and those are still a great attraction of the tourist. Park Central Hall, Hoffman’s Cafeteria Building, Miami Beach U,S. Post Office, Cameo nightclub, the Webstar, etc. are a few excellent examples of Art Deco architecture.

Spend Time In The Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden:

Are you a nature lover?

Then you must visit country’s largest tropical botanical garden Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden. It is stunning to see conservation of different tropical plants here in this botanical garden, a butterfly grove and art installations by different famous artists. You can also enjoy walking tours or forty-five minutes free tram ride right in this park. Young visitors will surely enjoy the indoor gallery of thousands of the butterfly and Vollmer Metamorphosis Lab where pupa emerges as butterflies.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens:

You can also visit Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. This fairy-tale residence is an Italian villa. See this classic mansion and also the visit the lovely gardens. Fountains, sculptures and lush green vines have made this garden so beautiful. Here in the garden you will find Vizcaya Café which may provide you with light snacks and coffee to keep your energy up to watch the lavish collection of this wonderful mansion.

The best thing of Miami is its nightlife. The best part of the Miami’s life begins after the sunset. It is the best time for party people. Moonlit night cast a magical charm on the city. Salsa-filled magical halls, candlelight lounges, rooftop bars, view of Biscayne Bay and the glittering city skyline will make you spellbound.  


Things To Do When You Are In Kathmandu

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is a beautiful city nestled in the Himalayan region. Kathmandu is one of the most picturesque cities of the world, with some of the choicest natural attractions. Each year, thousands of tourists visit Kathmandu to witness the breathtaking beauty of the mighty Himalayan range. Kathmandu is the city of monuments, temples and historical destinations.

The Himalayan city is certainly a retreat for people with a religious bent, as it is the centre for spiritualism. There are innumerable monasteries and places of worship and meditation in the city.

Pashupati Nath Temple – Historical Landmark Temple

We started our Kathmandu visit with the magnificent Pashupati Nath Temple.

This is one of the most sacred, renowned and oldest temples of Nepal, located in the capital city. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an architectural delight. Every year thousands of followers visit this place for the blessings of the Divine. Do not miss the Golden Spire of this temple with silver sheeted doors.

Swayambhu Mandir –

This temple is stunning perched on top of a conical hill. This is a legendary temple in Kathmandu – also known as the Monkey Temple. It is one of the top most holy places in Kathmandu. The key attractions are huge Tibetan Prayer Wheel, the numerous painted Buddha statues and the Golden shire. To reach the temple, one has to climb more than 365 steps.

Durbar Square –

Tourists who wish to explore the cultural history of Kathmandu should not miss the Durbar Square. This is often said to be the heartthrob of tourists Located near the Kathmandu Palace Kingdom, Durbar Square is declared the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Palace is wonderfully decorated and is the best reflection of Nepalese culture. There are many museums in the palace which are open for all tourists. After the deadly earthquake, the Square is undergoing reconstruction.

Place for Wildlife Lovers –

Kathmandu is also the place to visit for the love of wildlife and bird sightings. The first National park of Nepal is the Chitwan National Park. In the year 1984, it was declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It offered as a winter hunting destination for the royals of Nepal. Tourists can visit the place to sight wildlife and some rare species of birds.

Spend a week in Kathmandu, so that you can enjoy every spot and destination in the city. There are innumerable destinations, which sometimes take away a lot of travel time due to the terrain, but they are certainly not to be missed.

  • Nagarkot – One of the most visited places in Kathmandu Valley, Nagarkot is the place from where you can have some of the best views of the Himalayan range.   • Pokhra Valley – This is a scenic region located amidst the majestic Annapurna Range. Pokhra Valley is the best place to soak in the natural beauty of the Himalayan region. Tourists visit the valley to have the stunning views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt Dhaulagiri and Mt Manslu. The region has several waterfalls, mysterious underground caves and Verdant Forests.

Royal Botanical Gardens:

For those who are visiting the city with family and friends and looking forward to a peaceful and quiet place, the Royal Botanical Gardens is the ideal place. Kathmandu often gets crowded during weekends or during the holidays. This is the ideal place to enjoy a stroll, picnic with your friends or family or simply spend a few romantic hours. There are several things to see here, which includes the coronation pond, the orchid house, the cactus house and the tropical house.

For the shopaholics, the best place is Thamel area. Most tourists spend time in the area to buy Newari style clothes, accessories, embroidered jackets, pashmina shawls ad souvenirs to carry back home. Enjoy the lovely cuisine of Kathmandu through the numerous eateries and restaurants. Tourists enjoy great hospitality and warmth from the locals. What to do when you visit Frankfurt

Frankfurt is rightly called the economic or commercial center of mainland Europe. It is one of the most visited cities of the world, dominated by skyscrapers. This is a global city, considered to be one of the most important centers for tourism activities and cultural extravaganza. The city is the host to a number of popular events which includes the famous publishing event or Frankfurt Book Fair. Tourists have a lot of things to do when they visit the city, besides visiting the gardens, galleries and fine museums.

Museums of The City:

A visit to Frankfurt is incomplete until you visit some of the best museums of the city. Senckenberg Museum is most popular for its life life-size dinosaur guard, which is strategically placed just in front of the natural history museum.   • Main Tower – For a breathtaking view of the Frankfurt skyline, you shouldn’t miss the Main Tower. This is undoubtedly one of the most distinct and tallest towers of the city.
  • Stock Exchange – Built in the year 1843, this is the best example of neoclassical structure. You will love the porch which is decorated with beautiful allegorical statues.

As you move around the city, you definitely wouldn’t miss Romerberg which is the old central square of the city. This is the place, where you will have an idea about the city’s medieval core and how the city was at the times. For the foodies, there is a lot of offer in Frankfurt. There are several aromatic stalls in the city, in the heart of the traditional market. Roasted nuts, pastries, chocolates, cakes, breads, smoked sausages and cheeses are some of the best choices available here. Carry home some exquisite souvenirs from Romer and Handwerkskunt am Romer. Frankfurt is said to be the place from where you can buy some of the best handcrafted souvenirs which includes organ-grinders, peddlers, adorable smokers or incense burners and more.
